TOORAK RESIDENCE
This 1930’s Tudor-Revival house in the heart of Toorak was originally designed by esteemed architect Robert Hamilton for use as his private home. With a considered layout, generous ceilings, a beautiful central staircase and natural light flooding from every side, we had good foundations to work with.
As entertainers, the clients required that the home be opened up and fitted with premium level appliances and superior technology to suit the needs of a modern family.
Although major structural changes were required, our approach was to reinstate period detailing where possible, enhanced with classic fittings and timeless materials.
Beautiful shades of blue and russet complement the delicate tones of the Taj Mahal quartzite used throughout. Accents of brass and aged bronze provide an understated element of luxury and refinement.
