Great design brings people closer together. This simple philosophy is at the heart of everything we strive to achieve at MR. MITCHELL.

Welcome to our collaborative.

We have spent more than 15 years building strong relationships with the best in the industry, so we can share their knowledge and skills with you. Our team is more than just us. We are fortunate and proud to work with Australia’s most talented artisans, craftsmen and hard-working tradies.

The Director

At the heart of every successful collaborative is strong leadership. As director of MR. MITCHELL, Andrew draws upon a wealth of experience and offers unique skills to ensure the finished product exceeds your expectations every time.

Andrew Mitchell

As the founder of Urban Pad in 2000, Andrew has fostered the growth of his design business with commitment and passion. With the rebranding of the business to MR. MITCHELL came the opportunity to refocus and grow, whilst maintaining sights on the core of the business: building solid relationships and offering exceptional personalised service.

With more than 15 years working in Melbourne’s thriving interior design industry, Andrew has built a solid portfolio of contacts. Many of the people he currently collaborates with have been with him from the day he opened his retail store on Chapel Street in Windsor.

While studying at university Andrew worked in high-end hospitality venues, learning the important operational skills that give him an inside edge to the bars, pubs and restaurants he has been commissioned to design. Though creatively inspired, Andrew is driven by the functionality he believes is key to every design project.

An appetite for quality food and wine sees Andrew actively involved in Melbourne’s world class bar and restaurant scene. This passion extends to his love of all things hospitality with his design work.

Over the years, Andrew has been instrumental in organising and participating in community support projects as he believes strongly in giving back wherever possible. He is a proud member of the industry body, the DIA (Design Institute of Australia) and is always striving to grow professionally and personally.
